Mason Greenwood Shines on the Wing for Marseille

Mason Greenwood, the Manchester United youngster who was arrested in August over allegations of sexual assault, has made his debut for French side Marseille.

The 19-year-old, who joined Marseille on loan from United last month, played the full 90 minutes as they beat Lille 2-0 at the Stade Velodrome on Saturday.

Greenwood started alongside former England international Jordan Ayew and scored Marseille's second goal after he headed home from a corner.

The move to Marseille is seen by many as a fresh start for Greenwood,La Liga Frontline who has struggled with injuries and been linked with a return to the Premier League.

But the teenager will be keen to impress manager Lucien Favre and prove that he can make a successful transition from United to Marseille.

His performance against Lille was one of several highlights for him during his time at Marseille so far.

He also had a shot saved by Lille goalkeeper Mathieu Courtois in the first half, while he was booked for fouling Anthony Martial.

Despite these challenges, Greenwood showed promise as he looked comfortable on the wing and created some good opportunities for his teammates.

It remains to be seen how long Greenwood will stay at Marseille, but his impressive display against Lille suggests that he could continue to make an impact for them in the coming weeks.
